The programme

Thanks to Erasmus +, the European mobility of young people in initial vocational training is widely encouraged to foster the gain of new skills in real labour conditions.

Since 2005, Chambre Régionale de Métiers et de l’Artisanat de Midi-Pyrénées has been coordinating a mobility programme, named Ap’n Go, and dedicated to the apprentices of the Training Centres of the Midi-Pyrénées’ Craft and Small Businesses Chambers.

In this frame :
- apprentices can experiment 2-week-work placements in European companies. Thanks to the numerous partnerships developed in about 10 European countries, two options are proposed:

Collective stays (be part of a group accompanied by teachers)

Individual stays

-European trainees (apprentices, students) can be hosted in local Smes

Ap n’ Go benefits from the financial support of the Midi-Pyrénées Regional Council within the Erasmus + programme. Each year around 100 young people go abroad (bakers, pastry-cooks, cookers, waiters, hairdressers, car mechanics, plumbers, carpenters, joiners, masons…) mainly in Spain, United-Kingdom, Italy, Belgium, Germany, Finland, Norway, Slovakia, Hungary, Greece…

Ap n’Go is based on a competent and complementary network in France and in Europe (mobility coaches and teachers in training centres, european partners, intermediary bodies…) which guarantees a follow-up of the young people at each stage of her/his mobility project: finding the hosting company, linguistic and cultural courses, help with administrative and logistic topics …

We also give support to European training centres when they send their trainees to Midi-Pyrénées region: finding hosting companies, help with administrative and logistic matters, support for the follow-up of the internships… Groups of apprentices can also attend some courses in the training centres.
